The Paris Wildcats''s game on Friday was all tied up 7-7 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They were just a hair shy of victory and fell 21-20 to Anna. Paris has struggled against Anna recently, as their match on Friday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Anna found their leader in underclassman Ziondre Williams, who threw for 184 yards and three touchdowns, and also rushed for 82 yards.
Paris' loss dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Anna, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 8-1.
Paris will head out on the road to face off against Mabank at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Mabank comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 12 points in their last five games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse. As for Anna, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Sulphur Springs at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Sulphur Springs is coming into the match hot, having won their last seven games.
