For some reason, the away team has come away with the win the last four times Kenwood and Morgan Park have met, but the home crowd finally got their W on Sunday. The Broncos put the hurt on the Mustangs with a sharp 11-4 victory. Considering the Broncos have won eight matchups by more than six runs this season, Sunday's blowout was nothing new.
Lance Moon was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Damaurion Butler, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.
Kenwood's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-6-1. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.0 runs over those games. As for Morgan Park, with the loss, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 13-7-2.
