Softball Recap: Curwensville Victorious

Curwensville owes their pitching crew a big pat on the back after their performance on Tuesday. They walked away with a 3-0 victory over the Moshannon Valley Black Knights/Damsels. The Golden Tide haven't had any issues with the Black Knights/Damsels recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive win against them.

Addison Siple was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out 11 over six innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than ten strikeouts any time she's pitched this season. She was also big at the plate, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, two stolen bases, and three runs.

In other batting news, Addison Butler was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing three bases while going 2-for-3. That's the most runs she has posted since back in April of 2024. Ava Olosky was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.

Curwensville kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Moshannon Valley only managed two hits.

Curwensville's record now sits at 3-1. As for Moshannon Valley, their defeat was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-2.

Curwensville didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 12-0 victory against Clarion-Limestone on the 27th. As for Moshannon Valley, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next match, a 17-8 loss against Cambria Heights on the 28th.
