U-32 hasn't had much luck against Oxbow recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Raiders will be playing at home against the Olympians at 4:30 p.m. Oxbow took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on U-32, who comes in off a win.
On Tuesday, U-32 made easy work of Paine Mountain and carried off a 30-1 victory.
Megan Pittsley and Mya Gould made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, Pittsley pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Gould tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. At bat, Pittsley got on base in five of her six plate appearances with three runs and one RBI, while Gould got on base in four of her six plate appearances with four runs and one RBI.

In other batting news, U-32 let Zofia Willis and Elena Noyes run wild. Willis fired off two home runs, seven RBI, and three runs while going 4-for-5, while Noyes went a perfect 6-for-6 with nine RBI, five runs, and one double. Noyes is crushing it when it comes to hits: she's got at least three every time she's taken the field this season. Grace Noyes was another key player, going 3-for-5 with six runs and one stolen base.
U-32 was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .615. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .353 or higher every time they've taken the field this season.
Oxbow had taken Lyndon Institute down for three straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Tuesday. The Olympians came up short against the Vikings, falling 17-7. The loss put an end to the Olympians' undefeated start to the season.
Oxbow saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brooke Osgood, who went 1-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. Another was Braylee Phelps, who went 1-for-4 with three RBI and one stolen base.
Having lost for the first time this season, Oxbow fell to 2-1. As for U-32, they now also have a winning record of 2-1.
Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Thursday. U-32 hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 1.3 home runs per game. However, it's not like Oxbow struggles in that department as they've been averaging 1.3 home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down.
U-32 might still be hurting after the 17-0 defeat they got from Oxbow in their previous meeting back in May of 2025. Can the Raiders avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
