Tewksbury Memorial not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since May 5, 2025 (when they won 24-3). They were the clear victors by a 13-1 margin over North Andover. The Redmen's hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.
Gabby Davis made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she pitched six innings while giving up just one earned run off seven hits. Davis was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with two runs. Those two runs gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, Lila Areias was a standout: she went 3-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. Those three hits gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Chloe Veator, who went 4-for-5 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base.
Tewksbury Memorial was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .500. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their batting average total in three consecutive games.
The win got Tewksbury Memorial back to even at 2-2. As for Dracut, their loss dropped their record down to 0-4-2.
Dracut might still be hurting after the 16-5 defeat they got from Tewksbury Memorial in their previous meeting back in May of 2024. Can the Middies avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
