There's no place like home for Carlsbad, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Saturday. They blew past the Goddard Rockets 11-1 on Thursday. Considering the Cavemen/Cavegirls have won seven contests by more than six runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Carlsbad has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.6 runs on average over those games. As for Goddard, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-7.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Carlsbad beat the Rockets by a score of 3-2 later that day.
