Pahrump Valley got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Paris Coleman out in front who dropped a double-double on 12 points and ten rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Avery Moore, who scored ten points along with two steals.
Sports Leadership & Management dropped their record down to 4-8 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 27.0 points per game. As for Pahrump Valley, the win was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 20-1.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Sports Leadership & Management on the road again on Thursday and play against Pinecrest Academy Sloan Canyon at 5:00 p.m. on January 25th. Pinecrest Academy Sloan Canyon comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 18 points in their last six games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse. As for Pahrump Valley, they will head out on the road to challenge Coral Academy of Science Las Vegas at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Coral Academy of Science Las Vegas will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Nevada Rankings (they are ranked 43rd, while Pahrump Valley is ranked seventh).
