Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only the Cypress Bay Lightning walked away with it. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Trojans on Tuesday and snuck past 53-51. The win was familiar territory for Cypress Bay who now have four in a row.
Julien Belle continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, almost dropping a double-double on 22 points and nine rebounds. He also posted two blocks for the first time this season. Another player making a difference was Lucas Almonte, who scored ten points.
Cypress Bay has been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten contests, which provided a nice bump to their 15-9 record this season. As for Taravella, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 15-7.
Cypress Bay didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 30-29 victory vs. Coral Springs on the 8th. Taravella does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
