The Holliday Eagles came tearing into Tuesday's match with 21 straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 17.8 points) and they left with even more momentum. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Vernon 62-35 at home. Holliday has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten matchups by 21 points or more this season.
It was another big night for Keitenn Bristow, who dropped a double-double on 27 points and 12 rebounds. He hasn't dropped below 15points for 19 straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Ashtyn Berry, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and ten rebounds.
Holliday pushed their record up to 22-2 with that win, which was their eighth straight at home. As for Vernon, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 15-7.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Holliday will face off against Bowie at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Bowie focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 20 last Friday. As for Vernon, they will head out on the road to square off against Iowa Park at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Iowa Park and Vernon are at an even 5-5 over their past ten head-to-heads.
