Adding to the longest winning streak in Southwestern this week, Vista Murrieta beat Chaparral 41-5. The victory was the sixth in a row for the Broncos.
Vista Murrieta took down the Pumas 41-5 last week, the largest margin of any game.
Nick Fisher was a force in the backfield as Great Oak topped Murrieta Mesa.
Kyle Plantier threw for 373 yards and 3 touchdowns. He was 26-54 with 4 interceptions.
Fisher was the most successful running back in the league this week. He ran for 235 yards on 26 carries as the Wolfpack lost to Murrieta Valley. Laquan Williams also contributed to the rushing game with 25 yards on the ground.
6-foot-2 quarterback Plantier of the Golden Bears is the league leader in passing yards this season with 2,285. He has also thrown 22 touchdowns. The leading receiver in the league this season is Brandon Presley. The Great Oak star has 44 catches for 1,027 yards.
Great Oak's Williams is within 90 passing yards of surpassing 2,000 on the season coming into this week's game against Norco. So far this year, Williams has thrown for 1,910 yards with 18 touchdowns and 9 interceptions.
