Hoosac Valley had won 13 straight home games dating back to last season and Tre Moynihan did his part to make it 14 on Friday. The Hoosac Valley Hurricanes rang in the new year with a 76-68 victory over the Greenfield Green Wave thanks in part to Moynihan, who posted 23 points. The match was his fifth in a row with at least ten points.

Hoosac Valley is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 4-2 record this season. As for Greenfield, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.

Hoosac Valley will host South Hadley at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Greenfield, they are taking a road trip to face off against Hopkins Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Greenfield knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past three games -- so hopefully Hopkins Academy likes a good challenge.
