Zaria Gaskins was her usual excellent self, scoring 37 points along with six steals and two blocks for Christ Chapel Academy. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Gaskins has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Maya Brantley, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and ten steals.
Chelsea Academy's loss dropped their record down to 7-3. As for Christ Chapel Academy, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season.
Chelsea Academy will be playing at home against Fairfax HomeSchool at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Fairfax HomeSchool will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak. As for Christ Chapel Academy, they will head out on the road to square off against Trinity at Meadow View at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Trinity at Meadow View will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Virginia Rankings (they are ranked 317th, while Christ Chapel Academy is ranked 139th).
