Sissonville is 8-2 against Scott since June of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Indians will be playing in front of their home fans against the Skyhawks at 6:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Sissonville was handed a heart-breaking two-run defeat in their last contest, but they sure didn't let that happen against Clay County on Monday. The Indians' pitcher stepped up to hand the Panthers a 15-0 shutout. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Indians considering their two-run performance the game before.

Mackenzie Casdorph was a standout: she went 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. Those three RBI gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Lydia Ellis, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI, two doubles, and one run.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Scott, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They blew past Roane County 13-0 on Monday. The high-scoring effort was just what the Skyhawks needed considering they were shut out in their previous matchup.
Reagan Williams made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out seven over five innings pitched. Williams was also big at the plate, going a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs, one stolen base, and one double.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Kambri Beard, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and three RBI. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games she's played. Hannah Miller was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two doubles, one stolen base, and one run.
Sissonville is on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 13 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-5 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.5 runs over those games. As for Scott, their victory bumped their record up to 21-6.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Tuesday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Sissonville has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 10.5 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Scott struggles in that department as they've been averaging 7.3 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
Sissonville came out on top in a nail-biter against Scott in their previous meeting back in April, sneaking past 3-2. Do the Indians have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Skyhawks turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
