The Encina Prep Bulldogs will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against the John Adams Academy Patriots at 7:30 p.m. on December 8th. Encina Prep has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games.
Even though Mesa Verde scored an imposing 56 points on Tuesday, Encina Prep still came out on top. Encina Prep took their game on the road with ease, bagging a 89-56 win over Mesa Verde.
Encina Prep's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Phillip W led the charge by scoring 22 points along with 8 steals and 6 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Adrian G, who scored 23 points along with 8 rebounds and 4 steals.
Meanwhile, John Adams Academy pushed their score all the way to 56 on Wednesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 69-56 hit to the loss column at the hands of Futures. While losing is never fun, John Adams Academy can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 1131st, while Futures is ranked 386th).
The win got Encina Prep back to even at 3-3. As for John Adams Academy, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-6.
