Johnson County is a perfect 3-0 against Glascock County since October of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. After each having a week off, the two teams will shake off the cobwebs and hit the field against one another at 7:30 p.m. Johnson County is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt wants to keep things rolling.

Last Friday, Johnson County took their matchup with ease, bagging a 40-7 victory over Wilkinson County. Considering the Trojans have won six contests by more than 25 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Johnson County's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Tayshawn Norris led the charge by rushing for 113 yards and one touchdown on only six carries. Norris got the majority of those rushing yards when he took off on a run that went for an incredible 76 yards. The team also got some help courtesy of Kelsey Waters, who rushed for 78 yards and one TD on only ten carries.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Johnson County was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 291 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 190 rushing yards in four consecutive games.

Johnson County's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB 6.5 times. In that department, Waters was the leader with 2.5 sacks. Dewayne Abrams was another major factor on D, picking up a sack and making seven total tackles (3.0 for loss).

Meanwhile, Glascock County played in-conference for the first time last Friday and got just the result they were looking for. They claimed a resounding 43-14 win over Twiggs County. The Panthers haven't had any issues with the Cobras recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Glascock County's win bumped their record up to 2-6. As for Johnson County, their victory bumped their record up to 8-0.

Everything went Johnson County's way against Glascock County in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, as Johnson County made off with a 34-8 win. Will the Trojans repeat their success, or do the Panthers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
