The Eastmark Firebirds will look to defend their home court on Friday against the American Leadership Academy Patriots at 7:00 p.m. Eastmark is coming into the game hot, having won their last nine games.
In what's become a running theme this season, Eastmark gave their fans yet another huge win on Tuesday. They blew past Combs 70-13 at home. Given Eastmark's advantage in MaxPreps' Arizona basketball rankings (they are ranked 46th, while Combs is ranked 216th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Riley Farnstrom was her usual excellent self, scoring 17 points along with six steals and five assists. That's the first time this season that she scored 15 or more points. Ella LaFountain was another key contributor, scoring 15 points along with three steals.
Meanwhile, American Leadership Academy came up short against Poston Butte on Thursday and fell 43-35.
Eastmark is on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 13 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 20-4 record this season. As for American Leadership Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-9.
