Belvidere is 0-10 against South Hunterdon since January of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. The Belvidere County Seaters will head out on the road to face off against the South Hunterdon Eagles at 7:00 p.m. Belvidere is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak.
Last Wednesday, Belvidere lost to Central Jersey College Prep at home by a decisive 60-46 margin. Belvidere has not had much luck with Central Jersey College Prep recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Meanwhile, South Hunterdon was able to grind out a solid win over North Hunterdon on Thursday, taking the game 56-46. The win was all the more spectacular given South Hunterdon's disadvantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey basketball rankings (they are ranked 330th, while North Hunterdon is ranked 147th).
Belvidere bumped their record down to 1-8 with that loss, which was their seventh straight at home. As for South Hunterdon, their win bumped their record up to 4-6.
Belvidere was taken down by South Hunterdon 88-27 when the teams last played back in January of 2023. Can Belvidere avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
