Bradenton Christian will challenge Central Florida Christian Academy on the road at 7:00 PM on Friday. Both of these teams will be looking for a pick-me-up after considerable defeats in their previous games.
It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 7-51, which was the final score in Bradenton Christian's tilt against Master's Academy last Friday. Despite the loss, Bradenton Christian saw an underclassman step up: Sophomore Nolan Averso caught passes for 106 yards and 1 touchdown. Averso has now scored at least one touchdown in the past four games.
Meanwhile, there's no need to mince words: Central Florida Christian Academy lost to Lafayette, and they lost bad. The score wound up at 8-47. The state rankings had actually given Central Florida Christian Academy a slight edge heading into the game, making this hurt that much more.
With the two teams each stumbling in off of a defeat, both will be hungry for the win. Neither squad could put together much of an offensive attack, so expect every point to count.
