Hillcrest Christian extended the longest winning streak in Omega (8 Man) this week by beating Antelope Valley Christian, 68-0. The victory was the fourth in a row for the team.
Hillcrest Christian took down the Eagles 68-0 last week, the largest margin of any game. Matt Carter ran for 92 yards in the win.
Robert Fanto's team's dynamic duo of Teddy Rettinger and Austin Ochoa proved tough for Antelope Valley Christian to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Rettinger threw for 79 yards and Ochoa had 65 yards receiving. Blake Dundas helped Hillcrest Christian's passing attack out by catching one ball for eight yards.
Dundas made the biggest impact on defense this week as the Saints topped Jon Wallasky's team. The junior grabbed one interception and recorded two fumbles.
Brandon Corvera was the most productive running back in the league this week. He ran for 259 yards on 21 carries as Concordia defeated the Eagles. Xavier Ornelas also contributed to the rushing game with 37 yards on the ground.
The Saints' Rettinger and Ochoa have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Rettinger has thrown for 1139 yards this season, while Ochoa has 27 catches for 658 yards. Michael deBie from Westmark leads the league in rushing with 835 yards.
Hillcrest Christian led Omega (8 Man) in scoring this week after putting up 68 points on Antelope Valley Christian. Carter in the win.
