Softball Recap: Edcouch-Elsa's Losing Streak Snapped at Four Games

There's no place like home for Edcouch-Elsa, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. Everything went their way against the Donna Redskins on Tuesday as they made off with a 12-0 victory. Considering the Yellowjackets have won nine matches by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Melody Soto was incredible, firing off two home runs and four RBI while going 3-for-3. That's the most hits she has posted since back in February. The team also got some help courtesy of Ali Loredo, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs and one RBI.

Edcouch-Elsa was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .526. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their batting average total in three consecutive contests.

Edcouch-Elsa moved to 15-8 with that win, which also ended their four-game losing streak. As for Donna, they dropped their record down to 3-19-1 with the defeat, which was their seventh straight on the road.

Edcouch-Elsa has already played their next game (against Porter), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Donna also has no score uploaded for their next match, this one against Lopez.
