The Follett Panthers came tearing into Tuesday's matchup with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 33.6 points) and they left with even more momentum. They walked away with a 48-41 win over Miami. For Follett, this counts as revenge for the 28-17 loss Miami walked away with the last time they faced one another back in December of 2023.
Maddox Miller continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 16 points and ten rebounds. He has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last four times he's played. Aiden Schilling was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with two steals and two blocks.
Follett pushed their record up to 14-7 with that victory, which was their 12th straight at home. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.8 points per game. As for Miami, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 14-4.
Follett will head out on the road to face off against Kelton at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Kelton is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'. As for Miami, they will be playing at home against Fort Elliott at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Fort Elliott will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 1340th, while Miami is ranked 656th).
