It was another big night for Zoe Burruss, who went 7 of 11 from beyond the arc en route to 37 points. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 16.7 points per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Harmony Williams, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and ten rebounds.
St. Anne's-Belfield was working as a unit and finished the game with 13 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, St. Margaret's strolled past St. Catherine's with points to spare on Monday, taking the game 59-41. The Scotties pushed the score to 48-28 by the end of the third, a deficit the Saints cut but never quite recovered from.
St. Margaret's had a senior duo take command as Karla Barreno posted 11 points and Paula Carrillo had nine points. Jade Wright was another key player, putting up six points.
St. Anne's-Belfield's victory was their 19th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 12-0. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 36.3 points. As for St. Margaret's, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record this season.
Some high-performance offense is likely on the agenda as St. Anne's-Belfield and St. Margaret's are some of the highest scoring teams in the league. St. Anne's-Belfield hasn't had any problem running up the score this season, having averaged 68.1 points per game. However, it's not like St. Margaret's struggles in that department as they've been averaging 59.3 points. With both teams so easily able to put up points, the only question left is who can run the score up higher.
St. Anne's-Belfield strolled past St. Margaret's when the teams last played back in December of 2024 by a score of 76-58. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was Barreno, who put up 20 points.
