Cheltenham moved up to 278 from 309 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in Suburban One - American. The Panthers climbed the ranks as a result of beating Upper Moreland 35-30.
Upper Dublin added to the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Springfield Township, 34-7. The victory was the eighth in a row for the team.
Connor Hanlon provided a threat through the air and on the ground as Plymouth Whitemarsh topped Norristown. He completed 6 passes for 106 yards and 2 touchdowns and also ran for 187 yards. Hanlon's favorite target this week was James Rodgers, who caught 5 passes for 101 yards.
Isiah Graham-Mobley threw for 157 yards and 3 touchdowns. He was 16-35 with 1 interception.
Rodgers was the best receiver in the league this week as the Colonials topped the Eagles. Rodgers racked up 5 receptions for 101 yards.
On the heels of Carmen Fortino and Jequan Mitchell, Upper Merion Area has had great success on offense. Fortino leads the league in passing with 956 yards, while Mitchell has rushed for 964 yards this season. Plymouth Whitemarsh's Rodgers leads the league in receiving yards with 560 on 31 catches.
The top two teams in Suburban One - American will face off this week when first place Upper Dublin takes on second place Plymouth Whitemarsh. Upper Dublin beat the Spartans last week, while Dan Chang's team bested Norristown.
The Vikings' Mitchell is a mere 36 yards away from breaking the 1,000-rushing-yards mark for the season. In 163 carries Mitchell has accumulated 964 yard this year.
There should be lots of points scored when the Colonials and Bret Stover's team face off this week. The top two offenses in the league, Plymouth Whitemarsh comes in having scored 263 this season, while the Cardinals have scored 303. The Colonials scored 42 points last week as they topped EJ Smith's team.
Upper Dublin took down Springfield Township 34-7 last week, the largest margin of any game. John Derr threw for 92 yards and 1 touchdown and ran for 33 yards in the win.
