The Centauri Falcons posted their closest victory yet this season on Saturday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Alamosa and snuck past 38-36. The victory was nothing new for Centauri as they're now sitting on three straight.
Centauri got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Rylie McCarroll out in front who scored nine points along with nine rebounds and three steals. That's the first time this season that McCarroll pulled down eight or more rebounds. Hannah Curtis was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with seven rebounds and three steals.
Centauri's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 9-3. As for Alamosa, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-6.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Centauri will take on Ignacio at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Alamosa, they will stay at home for another game and welcome Bayfield at 5:30 p.m. on January 26th. Bayfield is hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses.
