Blacksburg won against Christiansburg on Friday with seven runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Tuesday. The Bruins beat the Patrick Henry Patriots by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 7-1. The result was nothing new for the Bruins, who have now won four games by six runs or more so far this season.

Blacksburg is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-2 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.4 runs over those games. As for Patrick Henry, they dropped their record down to 4-9 with the defeat, which was their sixth straight on the road.

Coming up, Blacksburg will challenge William Byrd at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Patrick Henry, they will welcome Fleming at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
