It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Taylorsville Tartars had no problem doing just that on Friday. They really took it to West Bolivar for the full four quarters, racking up a 56-0 victory at home. The win was familiar territory for Taylorsville who now have four in a row.
Among those leading the charge was Cobey Craft, who rushed for 106 yards and three touchdowns on only six carries. Another player making a difference was Laza Beavers, who threw for 172 yards and two touchdowns while completing 77.8% of his passes.
Taylorsville has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 6-5 record this season. As for West Bolivar, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-9.
Taylorsville will look to defend their home field on Friday against Lumberton at 7:00 p.m. Lumberton is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune. West Bolivar does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
