Brainerd came out on top against Grand Rapids on Wednesday thanks in part to the team's impressive six-run third inning. The Warriors blew past the Thunderhawks 11-3. That eight run margin sets a new team best for the Warriors this season.

The team relied heavily on Cooper Schenck, who went 3-for-5 with two RBI and one run. Braxton Tautges was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two RBI and one run.

Brainerd has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-9-1 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.6 runs on average over those games. As for Grand Rapids, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-6 record this season.
