Cornwall Central (New Windsor, N.Y.) extended its winning streak to seven games with a 42-6 victory over Port Jervis (N.Y.) on Saturday.
The Dragons were up 21-0 at the half after taking the lead on a
Jeff Grygiel touchdown run in the first quarter.
Cornwall Central expanded its lead to 42 points entering the fourth quarter. CC scored three times in the third, including once on a touchdown run by Grygiel.
Mike White stood out for the New Windsor school in the win. The junior quarterback threw two touchdowns. He has now scored seven touchdowns on the season.
The Raiders' lone touchdown came on a 1-yard run in the fourth quarter.
The Dragons came into the game allowing 12.2 points per game.
When the two teams played each other last season, Cornwall Central came away with a 37-0 victory.
The loss comes after Port Jervis defeated Monticello 28-9 last week. The loss snapped Port Jervis' 2-game winning streak.
Port Jervis (3-4) goes up against Middletown in a non-conference game matchup next week, while Cornwall Central (7-0) locks horns with Goshen Central in a Section 9 A game.
