Softball Recap: Harvard Snags Sixth Victory in Last Eight Games

Harvard took a nine-run loss the last time they faced off against Dundee-Crown, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Hornets narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Chargers 7-5. For the Hornets, this counts as revenge for the 11-2 victory the Chargers walked away with the last time they faced one another back in May of 2024.

Harvard is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-9 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.3 runs over those games. As for Dundee-Crown, their defeat was their eighth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 8-18.

Coming up, Harvard will challenge Plano at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Hornets are facing the Reapers at the right time seeing as the Reapers are stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Dundee-Crown, they are taking a road trip to challenge Hampshire at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
