North Mason is 0-10 against Olympic since May of 2018 but things could change on Thursday. The Bulldogs will host the Trojans at 4:15 p.m. Both teams are coming into the game red-hot, with North Mason sitting on three straight victories and Olympic on four.
Olympic's hitters are going to have their work cut out for them on Thursday: North Mason hadn't allowed a single run the last three times they've hit the field. The Bulldogs never let Bainbridge get on the board and left with a 15-0 win on Monday. Considering the Bulldogs have won five contests by more than six runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Jenna Markuson was a standout: she went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and four RBI. She has been hot recently, having posted three or more RBI the last three times she's played. Taylor Madison was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-4.
North Mason was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .414. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .414 or higher in three consecutive matches.
Meanwhile, Olympic was able to grind out a solid victory over Kingston on Monday, taking the game 5-1.
Brenda Morrison spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a run (which was unearned) on two hits and racked up six Ks.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Kennedy Haas, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Beya Richmond, who went 1-for-2 with one home run and three RBI.
Olympic's win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-2. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.3 runs over those games. As for North Mason, their win was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-2-1 and their overall record up to 5-2-1.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Thursday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. North Mason has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.1 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Olympic struggles in that department as they've been averaging 6.8 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
North Mason might still be hurting after the 10-0 loss they got from Olympic when the teams last played back in May of 2024. Will the Bulldogs have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check MaxPreps after the action for a full breakdown of the game and more softball content.
