The biggest upset of the week belonged to Winnetonka, who took down 37th ranked Winnetonka, 28-7. James Valentine threw for 165 yards and two touchdowns in the win.
Liberty North moved up to 65 from 96 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in Suburban - Blue. The Eagles were able to make the jump by beating Park Hill South 24-21.
Cole Davis and Brock Broughton gave Kearney a balanced attack through the air and ground last week. Davis threw for 159 yards and three touchdowns, while Broughton ran for 132 yards. Teammate Kyre Bosler added to the ground attack by rushing for 73 yards.
Paul Silvio was the best wideout in the league this week as Liberty North topped the Panthers. Silvio tallied five receptions for 84 yards. Harrison Trinidad helped Liberty North's passing attack out by catching five balls for 42 yards.
On the ground, Ken Clemens' team's Antwynn Beavers has rushed for 1400 yards which leads the league. The leading receiver in the league this season is Silvio. The Liberty North star has 26 catches for 440 yards.
Two of the top units in Suburban - Blue will face off this week when the Bulldogs take on the Griffins. Kearney's offense has scored 278 points this season, good for No. 1 in the league, while Winnetonka has allowed only 139 on the year.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Ken Clemens' team takes on Greg Jones' team. At the moment, the Griffins are in first, while the Bulldogs are in fourth.
Raytown South extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Lee's Summit, 38-13. The victory was the fourth in a row for the team.
