A Season-Best Effort from Nicholas Gaoa Leads Barstow over Adelanto
Nicholas Gaoa produced his most outstanding game to date while leading Barstow to the win on Thursday. Gaoa rushed for 186 yards and a touchdown while picking up 9.3 yards per carry, and also picked up 33 receiving yards, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process.
Barstow's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-1. Gaoa and Barstow will face off against Victor Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Weiss Came Up Big in Silverado's 18-12 Victory
Silverado picked up their third consecutive win on Thursday thanks in part to Jace Weiss. Weiss was dynamite, rushing for 48 yards and three touchdowns, while also throwing for 170 yards on 14 of 25 attempts.
For the year, Weiss has thrown 11 touchdowns while averaging 186.2 passing yards per game. That doesn't tell the whole story though: at this point last year, he was only averaging 26.5 rushing yards per game. This year he is averaging 45.17 rushing yards.

Dwayne Williams Makes It Two for Barstow
The second Barstow player making an appearance here is Dwayne Williams, and for good reason. He threw for 123 yards and two touchdowns while completing 82.4% of his passes, and also rushed for 58 yards on only seven carries.
If history really does repeat itself, Williams might just drop another big game when he faces off against Victor Valley on Thursday. Back in October of 2023 (the last time Williams saw the Jackrabbits), he rushed for 63 yards and two touchdowns, and also threw for 177 yards and two touchdowns while completing 75% of his passes.
