Dawson Springs received a tough blow as they fell 53-38 to the Tigers. Dawson Springs has not had much luck with the Tigers recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Dawson Springs' loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Montgomery Johnston, who scored 15 points along with six rebounds. Johnston hasn't dropped below 15 points for three straight games. Rex Blue was another key contributor, almost dropping a double-double on nine points and nine rebounds.
Dawson Springs' loss dropped their record down to 11-10. As for Caldwell County, they pushed their record up to 12-7 with that victory, which was their third straight at home.
Dawson Springs won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against the Falcons at 2:00 p.m. on February 3rd. As for Caldwell County, they will head out on the road to challenge the Maroons at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
