It was a proper cat-fight when White Pine duked it out with Pahranagat Valley on Tuesday. White Pine was the clear victor by a 20-2 margin over Pahranagat Valley. That 18 run margin sets a new team best for the Bobcats this season.

Tucker Maestes made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. What's more, he gave up only zero earned runs, the fewest he's had since back in April of 2024. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going 4-for-5 with one home run, six RBI, and four runs. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April of 2024.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Dylan Cessford, who went 3-for-4 with three stolen bases, four runs, and four RBI. That's the most hits he has posted since back in March of 2024. Another player making a difference was Daniel Highline, who got on base in three of his five plate appearances with one triple, one stolen base, and two RBI.

White Pine was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .406. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Pahranagat Valley only posted a batting average of .133.

White Pine is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-3 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. Pahranagat Valley's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 4-4.

White Pine didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 21-3 victory against Lincoln County on the 21st. As for Pahranagat Valley, they have also already played their next contest, a 16-1 win against Round Mountain on the 21st.
