The Liberty Common Eagles couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They took a hard 45-30 fall against Heritage Christian on Wednesday. Liberty Common lost against Heritage Christian in their previous head to head back in December of 2022, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 57-47 score last time.
Several Eagles players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Max Frevert, who scored 9 points along with 13 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Alex Good, who scored 6 points.
Liberty Common's defeat dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Heritage Christian, their win bumped their record up to 1-0.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Liberty Common will take on Windsor Charter Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Heritage Christian, they will look to defend their home court on December 8th against Pagosa Springs at 7:30 p.m.
