Monta Vista has enjoyed a two-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will challenge the Lynbrook Vikings at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Lynbrook took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Monta Vista, who comes in off a win.
Monta Vista scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Saturday. They breezed by Independence at home to the tune of 80-39. The high flying offensive effort was a huge turnaround for Monta Vista considering their 22-point performance the matchup before.
Meanwhile, Lynbrook lost to Leigh on the road by a decisive 59-44 margin on Saturday. Lynbrook has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Monta Vista's victory bumped their record up to 9-6. As for Lynbrook, their loss dropped their record down to 6-10.
Things could have been worse for Monta Vista, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 52-37 loss to Lynbrook in their previous meeting back in February of 2023. Can Monta Vista avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
