The Indianola Warriors's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their 13th straight loss. They suffered a tough 63-42 loss at the hands of Midway. Indianola was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Chargers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January of 2017.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Midway to victory, but perhaps none more so than Tristen Wolfe, who scored 23 points along with eight rebounds and three steals. That makes it four consecutive games in which Wolfe has scored at least a third of Midway's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Gavin Durrett, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and ten rebounds.
Indianola has not been sharp recently as the team's lost 16 of their last 17 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-20 record this season. As for Midway, their victory bumped their record up to 7-12.
Indianola will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against the Warriors at 6:30 p.m. Midway will be staying on the road on Monday to face off against the Grizzlies at 8:00 p.m. on February 5th. Gans knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past three matches -- so hopefully the Chargers like a good challenge.
