League recap: Madeira climbs in standings with win

Madeira was the team that made the biggest jump in the rankings, moving from fourth to second in Cincinnati Hills. Earlier in the week, the Mustangs triumphed over Taylor 35-34.

Adding to the longest winning streak in the league this week, Wyoming beat Mariemont 47-7. This was the team's fifth consecutive win.

Bryce Butler was a key player and the best on defense this week as Finneytown lost to Indian Hill. The 5-foot-9 sophomore nabbed 1 interception and recorded 1 fumble.

Eric Wachendorf and Neriah Brooks gave Reading a balanced attack through the air and ground last week. Wachendorf threw for 139 yards and 2 touchdowns, while Brooks ran for 105 yards. Teammate Austin Fitzhugh added to the ground attack by rushing for 76 yards.

The Warriors' Kane Coates and David Cowart have formed a dream team this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. 6-3 quarterback Coates has thrown for 937 yards this season, while Cowart has 15 catches for 292 yards. D'Ante Goodwin from the Wildcats leads the league in rushing with 676 yards.

A big matchup in Cincinnati Hills this week will be when Wyoming takes on the Braves. At the moment, Aaron Hancock's team is in first, while Indian Hill is in sixth.
