Rickards got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Benjamin Plummer out in front who scored ten points. Romie Cosby was another key contributor, scoring nine points.
When it comes to explaining why Gadsden County lost, one person who can't be blamed is Nasir Williams. Despite the final result, he dropped a triple-double on 18 points, 21 rebounds, and ten steals. Williams is absolutely dominating the rebound category: he's posted at least eight every time he's taken the court this season.
Rickards pushed their record up to 13-5 with that win, which was their third straight at home. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.0 points per game. As for Gadsden County, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-8.
Rickards won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Godby at 7:30 p.m. on January 19th. Godby is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 57.9 points per game. As for Gadsden County, they will look to defend their home court on Saturday against St. John Paul II at 7:00 p.m. St. John Paul II has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
