Meanwhile, Shekinah Christian strolled past Maumee Valley Country Day with points to spare on Saturday, taking the game 44-25. The win was just what Shekinah Christian needed coming off of a 40-17 defeat in their prior matchup.
Shekinah Christian found their leader in underclassman Haylee Beachy, who scored 17 points along with 6 assists and 6 steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which Beachy has scored at least 25% of Shekinah Christian's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Noe Wanty, who scored 10 points along with 6 rebounds and 3 steals.
Their wins bumped Tree of Life Christian to 1-3 and Wellington School to 3-0.
Tree of Life Christian took their victory against Shekinah Christian in their previous meeting back in February by a conclusive 43-22. Will Tree of Life Christian repeat their success, or does Shekinah Christian have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
