Softball Recap: Christ's Church Academy Picks Up Fifth Consecutive Win

Christ's Church Academy entered their tilt with St. Johns Country Day on Tuesday with four consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with five. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 16-15 W against the Spartans. This was a revenge game for the Eagles: when they faced off against the Spartans back in March, they had to take a 12-11 loss.

Keira Smith was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while going 4-for-5. That's the most stolen bases she has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Callie Flanagan, who scored three runs while going 4-for-5.

Christ's Church Academy pushed their record up to 9-7 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 15.8 runs over those games. As for St. Johns Country Day, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-11.

Coming up, Christ's Church Academy will square off against Parsons Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Lions have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 17.13 runs per game on average), something the Eagles will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for St. Johns Country Day, they will face off against University Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
