The Morgan Raiders will challenge the John Glenn Little Muskies at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. John Glenn took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Morgan, who comes in off a win.
Morgan barely beat Waterford the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Raiders put the hurt on the Wildcats with a sharp 14-3 win on Saturday. The victory continues a trend for the Raiders in their matchups with the Wildcats: they've now won seven in a row.
Clayton Blackburn made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over four innings pitched. Blackburn was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.

In other batting news, Aaron Baker was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while going 3-for-4. He has become a key player for Morgan: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 0-4 otherwise. Another player making a difference was McGwire Winner, who scored two runs while going 2-for-4.
Morgan kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. That's the most hits they've posted since back in May of 2024.
Meanwhile, John Glenn was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 10-3 to Claymont. On the bright side, the three- run effort marked the Little Muskies' highest-scoring matchup to date.
John Glenn saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Charlie Cameron, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI. Zane Townsend also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.
John Glenn's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Morgan, their win bumped their record up to 2-5.
Morgan's speedy runners might be the difference in Monday's game. The Raiders have been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.7 stolen bases per game. It's a different story for John Glenn, though, as they've been averaging only 0.6 stolen bases. Will they be able to secure the bases, or will Morgan continue to outrun the ball?
Morgan took their victory against John Glenn when the teams last played back in May of 2024 by a conclusive 18-8 score. Do the Raiders have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Little Muskies turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
