The Chaparral Roadrunners''s recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They had to suffer through a rough 56-7 loss at the hands of Southeast of Saline. Chaparral was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 50-0.
Jack Walker threw for 37 yards on six of 14 attempts. Tyce Pfaff was his top target, picking up 63 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Leading Southeast of Saline to victory were Nathan Friesen and Grady Gebhardt. Friesen rushed for 65 yards and three touchdowns on only nine carries, while Gebhardt rushed for 93 yards and three touchdowns. Gebhardt was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 51 yards. Amarion Holub and his 91 yards on the ground were also a key factor in Southeast of Saline's victory.
Chaparral's defeat dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Southeast of Saline, the win for they keeps them at an undefeated 9-0.
Chaparral does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Southeast of Saline will face off against Kingman at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Kingman is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
