While it always takes a team to win, one person punching above their weight class on Thursday was Makenna Best. She wasn't messing around, striking out ten batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off six hits (and only one walk). The pitching appearance was her 12th straight with eight or more strikeouts.
