Gabrielino is 1-7 against Rosemead since October of 2014 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Gabrielino Eagles are on the road again and play against the Rosemead Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on October 20th. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Last Friday, Gabrielino was beaten by South El Monte 35-7. Gabrielino was already down big by the end of the third quarter and they stayed that way after failing to score in the fourth.
Meanwhile, Rosemead's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their ninth straight loss dating back to last season. They took a 42-28 bruising from El Monte. The contest was a 21-21 toss-up at halftime, but Rosemead was blown out by El Monte in the second.
Gabrielino's loss was their eighth straight on the road (dating back to last season), which dropped their overall record down to 0-8. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 10.13 points per game. As for Rosemead, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-7.
Gabrielino came out on top in a nail-biter against Rosemead in their previous matchup back in October of 2022, sneaking past 10-7. The rematch might be a little tougher for Gabrielino since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
