Hamilton scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They really took it to Cooperstown for the full four quarters, racking up a 82-47 victory at home. Hamilton has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six matches by 22 points or more this season.
Waterville suffered their biggest defeat yet this season on Thursday. Their tough 74-48 defeat to Central Valley Academy might stick with them for a while. While losing is never fun, Waterville can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 104th, while Central Valley Academy is ranked 35th).
Hamilton's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-2. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 71.8 points per game. As for Waterville, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-4.
Hamilton might still be hurting after the 62-41 defeat they got from Waterville when the teams last played back in December of 2023. The contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point Hamilton was down 33-13.
