The Bear Grass Charter Bears stacked a tenth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Tuesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Mattamuskeet 51-7 on the road. The win was familiar territory for Bear Grass Charter who now have eight in a row.
Bear Grass Charter's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Carly Bembridge, who scored nine points along with five rebounds and two steals. Bembridge hasn't dropped below two steals for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Hylee (Al) Jarrett, who scored eight points along with four steals.
Bear Grass Charter has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season. As for Mattamuskeet, they dropped their record down to 1-14 with that defeat, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bear Grass Charter will take on Ocracoke at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Mattamuskeet, they will stay at home for another game and welcome Cape Hatteras at 6:00 p.m. on February 9th.
