Audrina Bullchild made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out 12 batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off six hits. Those 12 strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in four of her five plate appearances with one double and one RBI.
In other batting news, Scotti Powell was incredible, going 4-for-5 with one home run, four runs, and three RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Liana DeLeon, who went 3-for-5 with one triple, one run, and one double.
Needles was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .429. They are a perfect 11-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Needles pushed their record up to 14-5 with the victory, which was their seventh straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.3 runs over those games. As for Lake Mead Christian Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-4.
