Chesterton Academy of the Holy Family have the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome the Willows Academy Eagles at 5:30 p.m. on February 5th. Both teams come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Thursday, Chesterton Academy of the Holy Family's game was all tied up 24-24 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They walked away with a 53-46 win over Westmont.
Elizabeth Beto continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, almost dropping a double-double on 23 points and nine rebounds. She continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Mary Kruce, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 12 rebounds.
Meanwhile, Willows Academy can now show off 15 landslide victories after their most recent matchup on Saturday. They blew past North Shore Country Day, posting a 67-33 victory on the road. Winning may never get old, but Willows Academy sure is getting used to it with their fifth in a row.
Chesterton Academy of the Holy Family now has a winning record of 11-10. As for Willows Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won 15 of their last 17 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 24-4 record this season.
Chesterton Academy of the Holy Family was dealt a bruising 49-14 defeat at the hands of the Eagles when the teams last played back in February of 2021. Can Chesterton Academy of the Holy Family avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
