It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Lost River had no problem doing just that on Monday. They were the clear victors by a 7-1 margin over the Oakridge Warriors. The result was nothing new for the Raiders, who have now won 11 matchups by six runs or more so far this season.
Kyle Diaz made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out eight over seven innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in April. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and one run.
In other batting news, Doug Jenkins was incredible, going 1-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Lost River is undefeated when Jenkins posts two or more runs, but 7-9 otherwise.
Lost River's victory bumped their record up to 13-9. As for Oakridge, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 17-11.
